Understanding Credit Cards
A Few Things to Know Before You Apply
How is my Visa Platinum APR determined?
Your approved APR is based on your creditworthiness and may vary depending on factors such as your credit score, credit history, existing obligations, and other underwriting criteria. The advertised 9.99% APR is the lowest currently available rate for qualifying applicants.
What is a grace period?
A grace period is the period during which you may avoid interest on qualifying purchases by paying the applicable balance in full by the payment due date, subject to the terms of your card agreement.
How is a secured card different?
A secured credit card requires pledged funds as collateral. You still use the card for purchases and make payments much like a traditional credit card, but the pledged funds help secure the credit line.
Why does responsible credit card use matter?
Making payments on time, keeping balances manageable, and borrowing only what you can reasonably repay are important parts of responsible credit use.

The actual APR assigned will vary based on creditworthiness, including factors such as credit score, credit history, existing obligations, and other underwriting criteria.
