Personal / Signature Loan

Flexible borrowing without collateral.

A Signature Loan is an unsecured personal loan, meaning you do not pledge a vehicle, savings account, home, or other property as collateral.

Approval is based on factors such as credit history, income, existing obligations, and your overall ability to repay. Once approved, the loan provides a fixed amount of money repaid over an established term.

  • No collateral required
  • Fixed repayment term
  • Predictable monthly payments
  • Terms from 12 to 48 months
  • Funds may be used for a variety of personal needs
Current Rate 9.99%

Available terms from 12 to 48 months.

When Can a Personal Loan Make Sense?

A personal loan can provide a structured way to finance a planned expense or manage an unexpected cost.

Unexpected Expenses

Help manage an unplanned expense without tying the loan to a specific piece of collateral.

Repairs & Household Costs

Cover vehicle repairs, home-related expenses, appliances, or other necessary purchases.

Debt Consolidation

In some situations, one fixed personal loan may provide a simpler repayment structure than managing several separate debts.

Planned Purchases & Expenses

Finance travel, events, larger purchases, or other personal needs with a defined repayment schedule.

Other Personal Loan Options

Borrowing With Savings as Security

An unsecured loan is not always the best or lowest-cost option. CUOne also offers secured borrowing options that use savings as collateral.

Share & Certificate Secured Loans

Borrow against savings without spending it.

A Share or Certificate Secured Loan allows you to pledge eligible funds already held in a CUOne savings account or share certificate as collateral for the loan.

  • Eligible CUOne savings or certificate funds secure the loan
  • Pledged funds remain on deposit while securing the outstanding loan balance
  • Can provide an alternative to withdrawing existing savings
  • Secured borrowing may offer different pricing than an unsecured personal loan

Credit Builder Loan

Build savings while establishing payment history.

A Credit Builder Loan works differently from a traditional personal loan. CUOne provides the loan proceeds and places those funds into a secured savings account rather than releasing them to you immediately.

  • Loan proceeds are placed into a secured CUOne savings account
  • Funds remain on hold while scheduled loan payments are made
  • Provides an opportunity to establish or strengthen payment history
  • Once the loan is paid in full, the held funds become available to you

Understanding Your Options

A Few Things to Know Before You Borrow

What does “unsecured” mean?

An unsecured loan does not require you to pledge specific property or savings as collateral. Because there is no pledged collateral, approval and pricing are based more heavily on the borrower's creditworthiness and ability to repay.

How is a secured loan different?

A secured loan is backed by collateral. With a Share or Certificate Secured Loan, eligible funds you already have on deposit secure the loan. Because the lender has collateral, the loan may have different terms or pricing than an unsecured loan.

When should I consider a Credit Builder Loan?

A Credit Builder Loan is designed primarily for members who want to establish or strengthen payment history rather than access loan proceeds immediately. You make scheduled payments while the loan proceeds remain secured, and the funds become available after the loan is paid in full.

How much should I borrow?

Consider the amount you actually need, the monthly payment you can comfortably manage, the length of the repayment term, and the total cost of borrowing. A longer term may reduce the monthly payment but can increase the total interest paid.

*APR = Annual Percentage Rate. The advertised 9.99% APR applies to qualifying Signature Loans for eligible terms. Actual APR, loan amount, term, and payment will vary based on creditworthiness and other underwriting criteria. Rates are subject to change without notice.

Share and Certificate Secured Loans require eligible CUOne deposit funds to be pledged as collateral. Pledged funds are subject to applicable hold and release requirements until the secured obligation is satisfied.

Credit Builder Loan proceeds are placed into a secured savings account and remain unavailable while pledged as collateral. Funds become available after the Credit Builder Loan is paid in full, subject to applicable account and loan terms.
